Lucas Printing Co. in their plant at Calvert and Water Streets, which was destroyed by the Baltimore Fire in 1904. These old steam-driven drum presses, capable of about 900 impressions per minute compared with the 3,600 impressions per minute on today's modern presses. Man standing at left is Mr. William A. Krieger, President of the concern from 1921 until his death in 1941. Other man is William Gorman and the ladies cannot be identified." - 1894
